Collaborative Partner scholarships


Collaborative partner scholarships are offered by the collaborative Universities working with the British Institute of Technology and Ecommerce.


UEL Free remission schemes

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for consideration under this scheme, students must be: ordinarily resident (for purposes of local authority award, and fees assessment regulations) in the British Isles (or where appropriate the EU), and have been so for not less than three years immediately preceding the start of the course, and is not subject under immigration law to any restrictions on the length of his/her stay
- attending a part-time course
- self-financing;
- studying a first degree and on an Undergraduate course
- studying at least 50% of a full-time course (i.e. 3 or 4, 20 credit units - in the academic year)
- Income related Job Seekers Allowance; OR Income Support; OR Housing Benefit; OR Council Tax Benefit; OR
- Working Families Tax Credit recipients with net income of less than £11,543 OR on an equivalently low income.

Implementation
Applicants must demonstrate their entitlement by producing original documentation; Successful applicants will have their fees remitted from the Fee Remission Fund.

Applicants must re-apply annually for remission.

If at any time an applicant ceases to fulfil the eligibility criteria, s/he should withdraw the application and contact the Head of Student Finance. The scheme does not apply to:
- short courses
- courses taught in collaboration with, or leading to joint awards with, other institutions/ organisations
- assessment only students

Please enclose a copy of your Official Notification of Admission, if you are a student new to UEL or a copy of your re-enrolment documents if you are continuing a course at UEL.
