National vocational qualifications (NVQs) are work-related, competence-based qualifications.
They reflect the skills and knowledge needed to do a job effectively, and show that a candidate is competent in the area of work the NVQ framework represents.
Level 5 NVQ in Management has been specially designed for senior managers with a high degree of autonomy for deploying resources and achieving strategic goals who:

- Are responsible for identifying and implementing change and quality improvements
- Negotiate budgets and contracts
- Lead high level meetings
Although no previous formal qualifications are required to embark on the NVQ, participants will need to demonstrate substantial senior management experience.
