Global 2009 Smart partnership Think Tanking Dialogue
 

Munyonyo, Uganda 26th-28th July 2009

BITE Representative attended the Global 2009 Conference

BITE representative Mr Yakub Ahmed, (International Relations) attended the Global 2009 Smart Partnership Think Tanking Dialogue in Uganda held at the Monyonyo Commonwealth Resort. The dialogue was attended by 800 participants made up of Heads of State, Presidents, Former Presidents and global smart partners.

President Yoweri Museveni launched the Uganda National Smart Partnership Hub with a call to Ugandans in particular and the people of Africa in general, to internalize the win-win approach.

The 3-day conference was attended by 6 Heads of State and Government Presidents Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania, Rupiah Banda of Zambia, Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe, Prime Minister Bethuel Pakalitha Mosisili of Lesotho, Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin and King Muswati the 3rd of Swaziland.

Others in attendance included former Malaysia Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir-bin-Mohamed, former President of Mozambique Mr. Joachim Alberto Chissano and Sir Ketumile Masire former Botswana leader. The dialogue also had Representatives from Camaroon, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sri Lanka and Sudan. www.cptm.org
