
BITE signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Belarusian State University of informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR), BELARUS on 2nd May 2008.
This MoU is signed to promote co-operation between both institutions to encourage direct contact and co-operations between their faculty and administrative staff, departments and research laboratories, particularly, in the following disciplines:
- Nanophysics and Fundamentals of Nanostructures
- Applied Nanotechnologies and Nanostructured Materials
- Micro and Nanoelectronics, MEMS and NEMS
- Novel analytical vista: matrix assays and sensors, labs on a chip
- Nanoengineering of energy conversion: photonics and light emitting devices novel actuators, electrochemical and fuel cells
- Novel prospects for user interface, new information displays and micro displays technologies
- Computer Science and Information Technology
- Administrative and Management Sciences
- Distance Learning (Research Seminars/Video Links)
Within the above-mentioned fields that were mutually accepted, the following general forms of faculty training and academic co-operation will be pursued:-
- Visits by interchange of staff for research, teaching and discussions
- Exchange of scientific and technological information
- Joint research activities
- Student progression under M.S. / Ph.D. Program
- Thesis Examination and Evaluation
